The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases’ latest announcement that face masks are now mandatory in public. According to cabinet secretary Karlo Nograles, face masks, handkerchiefs, or anything related including reusable or do-it-yourself masks are needed to stop the spread of COVID-19. Source: Esquire Magazine

4. PH Government Now Looking Into Mass Testing For PUIs and PUMs

Speaking to ANC Thursday, Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., chief implementer at the National Task Force (NTF) on COVID-19, said there should be mass testing of patients under investigation (PUI) and patients under monitoring (PUM) so they can be isolated from the rest of the population.He said government is fast-tracking the accreditation of more laboratories with coronavirus testing capability to start massive testing of PUIs and PUMs. “We expect that by April 14, we shall be able to start massive testing.” Source: ABS CBN News

5. Voter Registration for 2022 Elections Resumes on May 1

It’s time to get ready for the May 9, 2022 elections. Seems like a long time from now but it’s never too early to think about who will be our next president. Satellite registration offices reopen on May 1, Friday. Applications are from Monday to Saturday, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This includes barangay halls, designated public schools, and even covered courts and terminals.
